You, your family and friends are in invited to join us for our fourth annual cookout, hike and social with members of Beyond Our Classroom.

Meet members of Beyond Our Classroom, cook over a charcoal hot-barbecue-logo-460BBQ, stroll along the shoreline of Heart Lake and learn more about the Treetop Trekking treetop forest walk and zip line.

After you pay the $6.50 park entrance fee, meet us at Birchview Shelter, east of the pool splashpad and Zip Line.

Cost $6.50 to enter the park plus a donation towards snacks and beverage. You bring your own meat or vege burger and buns to cook over the charcoal BBQ.

    Thanks for the invitation but we are now living in a passive solar home, off grid, up near Bancroft. So good to see you are encouraging your fellow teachers in the values and lessons to be learned outside the walls of a classroom. At one time in my teaching career I was involved with COEO, no idea if they still exist. They used to do a fabulous winter retreat at the Frost Center in Dorset.

    Anyway all the best and enjoy the summer. If you ever find yourself up our way send me an e-mail and I’ll send you directions.
