Our Beyond Our Classroom Leadership Team are all volunteers who enjoy organizing field trips and experiential education workshops for educators. We connect and plan via e-mail and during occasional meetings at Boston Pizza Restaurant, # 65 Resolution Drive, Brampton, ON, L6W 0A6 at Table 31. View the map.

David Spencer
David Spencer
 

  • David Spencer is a Secondary School Educator with a passion for experiential education, Aboriginal, environmental, ethics and outdoor education. He enjoys bringing educators together to work on common goals. Known as the “Field Trip King” at his school, he looks forward to meeting other enthusiastic educators on future experiential learning excursions planned by Beyond Our Classroom.

Dao Tran 

  • Dao Tran is a secondary school educator who specializes in biology and environmental sciences. As a teacher, she is committed to pedagogical development and innovation, especially in educational technology and outdoor learning.  She is excited and looking forward to meeting fellow Peel District School Board colleagues during events held beyond our classrooms.

Tine Walma

  • Tine Walma is a science and math educator with the Peel Board. She has a passion for active classroom learning. She supports the natural student discovery process, guiding students step by step, as they develop their potential and achieve their goals. Key to this is her focus on a safe, equitable and inclusive learning environment. She  believes in the importance of lifelong learning, particularly informal and experiential learning. During her spare time, she enjoys cycling and the outdoors.
